Smokers

...being down doesn't mean you're out...

TRAVIS FAULKNER is down - but not out. A glittering career in the ring is ended when he crosses the local mob and inadvertently causes the death of his daughter. For years he's drifted from town to town making a tough living fighting in illegal SMOKERS. Now it's time for TRAVIS to come home and make one last score while he still can before the years - or the mob - catch up with him…

MEET TRAVIS FAULKNER - a guy in his forties, and he's lived a bit, for sure.

He “coulda been a contender” back in the day. I wouldn’t fucking laugh, pal. Maybe he was

Now he’s on the streets. Drifters, I reckon they’re called, guys like TRAVIS. Well even a drifter has his story. So let’s take a look at his...

We pick up TRAVIS as he enters the seedy night of our mid-west town. He comes in all quiet, unnoticed. Who’d even give him a second glance?

He’s looking for something he can almost scent on the breeze; a smoker - the kind of back street unlicensed fight-meet that's his means of getting by these days.

And it’s like, maybe he knows these streets. Cos he takes the turns without hesitation. Then sure enough, he finds what he’s after down by SKID ROW.

A tough, original, story for film from Peter Lancett and Teresa Schaeffer.

Screenplay completed and available.
